
Richard Petty
One of the all-time greats of NASCAR, Richard Petty has been at the center of many unforgettable racing moments at Goodwood. Born into a racing family, Petty made his first Grand National Series start in 1958 and won his first championship in 1964. He would go on to win a record seven NASCAR Cup Series titles and 200 races, including seven Daytona 500 victories. Petty earned his nickname ‘The King' in 1967 by winning 27 races in a single season and remains one of the most influential figures the sport has ever known.
